SCRIPTURE READING | Hebrews 10:19-25

"We have a new mode of Church engagement that is sporadic, passive, commitment fearful, and consumeristic..." - Mark Sayers, "Disappearing Church"

Heavenly Father, we come to you today, seeking forgiveness.
We have turned our backs on you.
You desire relationship with us and instead we have run from You.

You call us to love our neighbor, and instead we look the other way.
Too often we complain about the communities we are a part of instead of rejoicing for the gift that they are.

Forgive us Lord.

(silence for personal confession)

Rejoice, brothers and sisters
for God, has shown mercy on us.
Though we often run from relationship with him
He comes to us, forgiving us and restoring us
through Jesus Christ, His son.
That through the grace shown to us
in the outstretched arms of Christ on the cross
We have the freedom to dwell richly with our Father
and sharing that grace that we have been shown with our communities.

You have been forgiven all of your sins in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. Amen.

SONG | Amazing Grace by John Newton

Everything we have is a gift from God
All that we have and are belong to God,
Bought with the blood of Jesus

Lord, help us be a people who live lives of sacrifical generosity
that through our generosity, Your love would be known.
Keep us from the delusion fo wealth and riches
and remind us that our treasure is in Christ

Increase our genersoity so that there are no needy person among us.
Grant us faithfulness in our stewardship of such a small thing as money
that Christ may trust us with true riches
Above all, let us be generous because our Father is generous
And it is our joy to share His generous heart with the world.

SONG | In Christ Alone Arr by Blake Flattley

Our Father
Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven;
give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen
