Summer in the Psalms

The Psalms, or the Psalter, is the ancient song book and prayer book of God's people. In it we hear faith in the promises of God come to life in every possible form and for every conceivable situation: from prayer, praise, and complaint to songs written in celebration of God's goodness to poetic prayers wondering where He's gone and clamoring for the comfort only He can provide. Throughout this series we'll examine some of the most powerful psalms and allow them to inform and shape our own expression of faith as well as shine fresh light on the person who knew them well, sang them himself, and to whom each one ultimately points: Jesus Christ.
