The King and The Cross: Marveling at Jesus through the Gospel of Mark

To say that "much has already been said about Jesus" is perhaps the greatest understatement of all time. His is the most talked about, debated, celebrated, scored, dissected and examined life in human history. And yet in the Gospel of Mark all that Jesus is, and all that he has accomplished for the world can be summarized in just two words: "King" and "cross." In this series we'll examine the historical and personal impact of Jesus Christ, through the lens of Mark's Gospel--where we see Jesus as the world's most unexpected of Kings, who came to bear the greatest of burdens. And through it all we come to grasp this well worn, true story in new and satisfying ways.
